Welcome to the Xube Shonge (Sacred Horse) Appaloosa Stud. We are situated in the very mild climate of Pretoria offering our horses and especially our young stock very moderate winters and green grazing virtually all year round optimizing growth and development opportunity. In an extremely relaxed environment horses are allowed too roam free during daytime in natural herds, and are stabled overnight in comfortable spacious stables. Due to handling of all horses at least twice a day , problems are immediately attended to and also results in very human friendly and well mannered horses. Living in Pretoria surroundings also offer us access to the best vets and farriers in the industry, and the best response times anybody could wish for. Xube Shonge Stud is registered with and The Appaloosa Horse Breeders Society of South Africa (AHBSSA)

Growing up with and being around horses virtually all our lives makes it unthinkable for us not to have daily horse interaction. After deciding to start a stud and not to just buy any horses we started looking around for the right “everything” we required. After seeing Painted Princess Grace ”SPOTTED FEVER” hit us and there was no turning back. We believe in natural horsemanship, and the Appaloosa breed had the “everything” we were looking for. Temperament, temperament, temperament and the versatility to perform and excel in endurance, 3 day eventing (horse triathlon), eventing, show jumping, dressage, reining, racing, polo, hunter and mountain packing, i.e. the most versatile horse around. And...The cherry on top is their magnificent looks. |
